Your Jihad Must be with Your Parents' Approval

Question :

I am a student of knowledge who is eighteen years of age. Can I participate in Jihad without telling my father and older brothers? But keep in mind that I have already performed 'Umrah?

Answer:

In our countries, the situation has not reached the level where Jihad is obligatory on every individual. Therefore, you can only go if your parents are pleased and give you permission. As for Hajj, you must perform it as early as possible, unless Jihad becomes obligatory, in which case you can delay the Hajj.
