Warning from the hellfire

Warning from the hellfire

All praise is due to Allah, we testify that there is no God but Allah and we bear witness that Mohamed is the messenger of Allah.

O you who believe fear Allah as he should be feared and do not die except as Muslims.

Brothers and sisters in Islam, the real successful one in this life and in the hereafter is one who protected from hell according to the saying of Allah (whoever is protected from hell is entered paradise he is the winner).
Brothers and sisters, we live with a society which believes in materialistic life and away from the spiritual life, the disobedience came over the obedience and following the desires became more than following the commands of Allah and His messenger.

Before, we spoke about how to protect ourselves from hellfire, in today’s Khutba I would like to share with you a warning from hell because there is a day which everyone will be in Janna or hell.

Allah (SWT) says: (group will be in Janna and another group will be in the hellfire). Brothers and sisters which group would you like to be with? It is your choice from now; you can be in Janna or in the hell.

The weather is hotter this time of the year in all over the world which is up normal case. Does this heat remind us?
The prophet (SAW) said: the fire complained to Allah: “my self is eating myself” Allah (SWT) made two breath for it, the heat of the summer is one of them and the cold of winter is another breath for it”.

The prophet (SAW) said: “if you know what I know you will laugh a little and cry a lot. The companions asked him, why o prophet? The prophet (SAW) said: because I saw paradise and hellfire”.

The temperature of outside of the sun is 6000 c, and inside it is 20.000.000 c. we cannot bear 100c. Are we going to bear the sun on the day of Judgement when it comes 1 mile near to our heads? Why we did not think about this day? Why don’t we prepare for this day?

Anas Ibn Malik reported that the prophet (SAW) said: “on the day of Judgement Angels will bring the most honored one during his life and will dip him in the fire and will ask him did you see any grace during your life? He will say: I never had seen any grace before. Angels will bring the most distressed person in this life and will dip him in paradise and will ask him did you face any harm during your life? He will say no, I never had seen any distress during my life”.

Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib said: “my son, be careful, any good that the hellfire is after it is not good, and any evil that paradise is after it is not evil. Any bliss out of paradise is nothing and any disaster out of the hellfire is blessing).
The prophet (SAW) said: “the heat of this life is a part of seventy parts of the hellfire”.

Allah (SWT) says: (who disobeys Allah and his messenger, the hellfire will be his end forever).

Allah (SWT) says: (o you who believe protect yourselves and your families from the hellfire; its fuel is people and stones).

The prophet (SAW) called his people and his daughter: “o my people I will not protect you anything from the punishment of Allah, o Fatima, I will not protect you from hellfire”.

Who is going to protect us from the hellfire?

when the prophets warned their people from the hellfire and the companions learned that from the prophet Mohamed (SAW) they learned and became afraid of the fire and worked hard to protect themselves as the prophet (SAW) taught them. Some Muslims read Quran but they do not remember, they still disobey their Lord. Why don’t we remember like them (Sahaba)? Why this dunia keeps us away from the way of Allah? We have to watch our actions and our words to be protected from the punishment of Allah.

The prophet (SAW) said: whoever wants to look at the Day of Judgment as if it is in front of his eyes he should read the souras of Attakweer, Al infitar, and Al Inshiqaq #81, 82, and 84.

I recited some Ayat and Ahadith about the hell fire which is more than enough.

What should we do after this Khutba?

  1. We should repent to Allah (SWT).

  2. Read Quran as much as we can and try to understand it then apply it as best as we can.

  3. Remember Allah as much as you can.

  4. Do good deeds which will benefit you on the Day of Judgment.

  5. Learn the Sunna of the prophet, his life and the life of his companions and imitate them and learn how to fear Allah and in Sha Allah you will be protected from the hellfire.
