The Ruling on Dyeing One's Hair Black
Question :
What is the ruling on dyeing the beard with a black color that changes it from white to black?
Answer:
The preferred view is that it is unlawful to dye one's gray hair to black, since the Prophet ﷺ said:
"Change this white hair, but stay away from black."
And because the Prophet ﷺ said:
"There will come a people at the end of time who will dye their beards black like the chests of pigeons they shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise."
We should not concern ourselves about the large number of people who do this act, since what is worthier is to follow is the truth.
