Encouraging the Dying to Say Shahadah

لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ

Translation :

There is no god but Allah.

Transliteration :

Lā ilāha illa-llāh.

Hadith:

"Abū Saʿīd al-Khuḍrī (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Encourage your dying to say [the above].” (Muslim 916)

Muʿādh b. Jabal (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) narrates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “He whose last words are [the above] will enter Paradise.” (Abū Dāwūd 3116)
