Dua for Protection from Hunger & Treachery

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُوْعِ ، فَإِنَّهُ بِئْسَ الضَّجِيْعُ ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخِيَانَةِ ، فَإِنَّهَا بِئْسَتِ الْبِطَانَةُ.

Translation :

O Allah, I seek Your protection from hunger, as it is indeed an evil companion and I seek Your protection from treachery, as it is an evil confidante.

Transliteration :

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina-l-jūʿ, fa-innahū bi’sa-ḍ-ḍajīʿ, wa aʿūdhu bika mina-l-khiyānah, fa-innahā bi’sati-l-biṭānah.

Hadith:

‘Urwah b. Maymūn said: “I heard ‘Umar b. Al-Khaṭṭab (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) say: ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek refuge with Allah from five things and say: [the above].'” (Nasā’ī 5483)
