The Child Born as a Result of Fornication or Adultery

Question :

Does the person who was born as a result of fornication or adultery enter Paradise if he lives a virtuous life? And does he carry the burden of his parents' sin?

Answer:

The child of unlawful relations does not, in fact, carry the burden of his parents' sin; their sin is limited to themselves, since Allâh Almighty said:
"He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned."

And:
"And no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another."

In terms of his final destination, he is like everyone else: if he obeys Allâh Almighty, does good deeds, and dies a Muslim, He will enter Paradise; if he disobeys Allâh Almighty and dies a disbeliever. He will be from the dwellers of Fire. If, however, he has in his account both good and bad deeds, and if he dies a Muslim, then his affair is with Allâh: if He wills, He forgives him; and if He wills, He punishes him first, and by His Mercy and Generosity, Allah Almighty will make his final destination to be Paradise. The Hadith which mentions that the child of fornication never enters Paradise is fabricated. O Allah, send prayers and peace on Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
