Dua When Wearing New Clothes
Translation :
O Allah, all praise is for You! as You have clothed me, I ask You for its good and the good of that for which it was made, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of that for which it was made.
Transliteration :
Allāhumma laka-l-ḥamdu Anta kasawtanīhi, as’aluka min khayrihi wa khayri mā ṣuniʿa lahu, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharrihi wa sharri mā ṣuniʿa lahu.
Hadith:
Abū Saʿīd al-Khudhrī (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) reported that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ put on clothes, he would name each item – whether it was a shirt, pair of trousers or turban – and say: [the above]. (Abū Dāwūd 4020, Tirmidhī 1767)
