A Manager is Responsible For His Workers
Question :
Is a manger at an office responsible for his workers responsible for reminding them to pray, especially those who don't, or to do anything else according to the Shari'ah?
Answer:
Does this come under the Hadith:
"Each one of you is responsible for his flock".
Every employer must order those who work under him to fulfill the duties Allah ordered them with. Especially in such issues as praying in congregation, fulfilling one's duties at work, and avoiding what Allah prohibited like cheating, deceit , and harming, customers, etc. And yes, doing so does fall under the saying of the Prophet ﷺ:
"Each one of you is responsible for his flock."
Recorded by Al-Bukhari in his Sahih from the Hadith of Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them.
