Women Are The Shaqa'iq Of Men


Question :

Is this Hadith authentic:
"Women are Shaqa'iq of men"
And what does "Shaqa'iq of men" mean?


Answer:

Yes, this Hadith is authentic. It means and Allah knows best that they are like or equal to men except in those things that the Shari'ah has mentioned as exceptions, such as in inheritance, in giving witness, and in other matters that are supported by proof.
