The Ruling on Using Alcohol as a Medicine
Question :
Is it permissible for a believing person to drink alcohol, claiming it to be a treatment for pain?
Answer:
Alcohol is forbidden and it is not permissible to use it as a medicine; the Prophet said:
"O servants of Allah! Seek treatment, but do not seek treatment with that which is forbidden. For Allah has not placed a cure for my people in that which has been forbidden."
