Organ Transplants
Question :
Some Muslims travel abroad to undergo an organ transplant, and often the donor is a Non-Muslim. Is this permitted in Islam?
Answer:
If Allah wills, there is no harm if a Muslim receives an organ transplant, even though the donor may be a Non- Muslim. Man is held accountable for his mind and for his spirit: his body parts will be returned to him on the Day of Judgement, when he will receive his punishment or reward.
