How to Get Rid from the Forbidden
Question :
A man was a partner in a store that sells cameras. He repented, but how does he end his partnership without losing (financially)? And what is the ruling concerning the profits derived from this business?
Answer:
This person can finish his partnership by having a third A party estimate the value of the business or by an agreement between the two partners. Whatever profits were derived from this store are lawful, except for profits made from those materials that were used for photographing anything with a spirit (humans or animals). He should estimate this amount and then give it in charity to the poor, whether it is a fourth, a third, or more or less, whatever amount it is, then he gives it in charity for some good cause absolving himself from censure and distancing himself from the unlawful.
