How can we reconcile between "Verily, Allah does not forgive," and "And verily, I am indeed Forgiving."?

Question:

How can we reconcile these two Verses:
Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else ) to whom he wills".

Answer:

And verily, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds and then remains constant in doing them (till death).

It is the truth regarding those who turn in repentance (to Allah) and this is why Allah says:

Say: "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Scholars are in agreement that these Verses concern those who turn to Allah in repentance. And Allah is the Granter of success.
