Exorcizing a Jinn by Burning the Body it Occupies

Question :

There is a woman who is possessed by a female jinn; when the female jinn is struck, she refuses to leave the body of the Muslim woman. In this situation, can we set fire to it so that it will leave the Muslim woman's body?

Answer:

It is strictly forbidden to set fire to her, because only Allâh can punish someone with fire. May Allah Almighty guide us, and may His peace and blessings be on our Prophet Muhammad, on his family, and on his Companions.
