Eating From Unlawful Inconte


Question :

I am a young Muslim man without work and my family provides me with food and drink from prohibited sources. Is my prayer acceptable?


Answer:

It is not permissible for you to eat, dress or spend from what is given to you from forbidden sources. Whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him (from his difficulties) and provide for him from (sources) where he never imagined. However, there is not effect from this on your prayer, in fact, it is valid.

And Allah is the Granter of success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, Muhammad and upon his family and Companions.
