Allāhumma innī as’aluka khayrahā, wa khayra ma jabaltahā ʿalayhi, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharriha, wa min sharri ma jabaltahā ʿalayh.

Hadith:

ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) narrated from his father that his grandfather (ʿAbdullah b. ʿAmr ibn al-ʿAs) narrated the Prophet ﷺ saying: “If one of you marries a woman or buys a slave girl, he should say: [the above]. If he buys a camel, he should take hold of the top of its hump and say the same.”

According to another narration he said: “Then he should take hold of her forelock and supplicate for blessing in the woman or the slave girl.” (Abū Dāwūd 2160)
