Dua for deceased (Group)

The best dua is the one which is made from the core of your heart. Dua doesn’t necessarily need to be in Arabic as Allah understands all languages.
Below are some special duas from Quran and Hadith that you can also make relating to your needs.

🔷لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وحْـدَهُ لا شَـريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلْكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، وهُوَ على كُلّ شَيءٍ قَدير .

Translation :

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner.
His is the dominion and His is the praise and He is Able to do all things..

Transliteration :

Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah,
lahu ‘l-mulku walahu ‘l-ḥamd,
wa huwa `alā kulli shay'in qadīr.

🔷 اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ

Translation :

O Allah, honour and have mercy upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You have honoured and had mercy upon Ibrāhīm and the family of Ibrāhīm. Indeed, You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You have blessed Ibrāhīm and the family of Ibrāhīm. Indeed, You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious.

Transliteration :

Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad wa ʿalā āli Muḥammad, kamā ṣallayta ʿalā Ibrāhīma wa ʿalā āli Ibrāhīm, innaka Ḥamīdu-m-Majīd, Allāhumma bārik ʿalā Muḥammad, wa ʿalā āli Muḥammad, kamā bārakta ʿalā Ibrāhīma wa ʿalā āli Ibrāhīm, innaka Ḥamīdu-m-Majīd.

🔷اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُم الَّلهُمَّ ثَبِّتْهُم

Translation :

O Allah, forgive them. O Allah, strengthen them.

Transliteration :

Allaahum-maghfir lahum Allaahumma thabbithum

🔷اللهُـمِّ اغْفِـرْ لِـ ( الأسماء) وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتََـهُمزفِي المَهْـدِيّيـنَ ، وَاخْـلُفْـهم في عَقِـبِهِم في الغَابِِـرِينَ، وَاغْفِـرْ لَنَا وَلَـهُم يا رَبَّ العـالَمـين، وَافْسَـحْ لَهُم في قَبْـرِهِم وَنَـوِّرْ لهم فِيهِ

Translation :

O Allah, forgive [name of the persons] and elevate their station among those who are guided. Send them along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and them, O Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for them their grave and shed light upon them in it.

Transliteration :

Allaahummaghfir li (name of the person) warfa’ darajatahum fil-mahdiyyeena, wakhlufhum fee ‘aqibihim fil-ghaabireena , waghfir-lanaa wa lahum yaa Rabbal-‘aalameena, wafsah lahum fee qabrihim wa nawwir lahum feehi.

🔷اللَّهمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهم وَارْحَمْهم، وَعَافِهم وَاعْفُ عَنْهُم، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُم، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُم وَاغْسِلْهُم بِالمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالبَرَدِ، ونقهم مِنَ الخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الأَبْيَضَ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، وَأَبْدِلْهم دَاراً خَيْرا ً مِنْ دَارِهِم، وَأَهْلاً خَيْرا ً مِنْ أَهْلِهِم، وَزَوْجَاً خَيْرا ً مِنْ زَوْجِهِم، وَأَدْخِلْهُم الجَنَّةَ، وَأَعِذْهُم مِنْ عَذَابِ القَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّار

Translation :

‘O Allah, forgive and have mercy upon him, excuse him and pardon him, and make honourable his reception. Expand his entry, and cleanse him with water, snow, and ice, and purify him of sin as a white robe is purified of filth. Exchange his home for a better home, and his family for a better family, and his spouse for a better spouse. Admit him into the Garden, protect him from the punishment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.’

Transliteration :

Allāhumma’ghfir lahu warḥamh,
wa `āfihi, wa`fu `anh,
wa akrim nuzulah,
wa wassi` mudkhalah,
wagh’silhu bi ‘lmā'i wath-thalji walbarad,
wa naqqihi mina ‘l-khaṭāyā
kamā naqqaytath-thawba ‘l-abyaḍa minad-danas,
wa abdilhu dāran khayran min dārih,
wa ahlan khayran min ahlih,
wa zawjan khayran min zawjih,
wa adkhilhu ‘l-jannah,
wa a`idhhu min `adhābi ‘l-qabri [wa `adhābin-nār].

🔷اللهُـمِّ إِنَّ (الأسماء) في ذِمَّـتِك ،
وَحَبْـلِ جِـوارِك ،
فَقِـهِم مِنْ فِتْـنَةِ الْقَـبْرِ وَعَذابِ النّـار ،
وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ الْوَفـاءِ وَالْـحَقِّ ،
فَاغْفِـرْ لَهُم وَارْحَمْـهُم،
إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الغَـفورُ الـرَّحيم

Translation :

‘O Allah, so-and-so is under Your care and protection so protect them from the trial of the grave and torment of the Fire. Indeed You are faithful and truthful. Forgive and have mercy upon them, surely You are The Oft-Forgiving, The Most-Merciful.’

Transliteration :

Allāhumma inna [name the person] fī dhimmatik, wa ḥabli jiwārik, faqihim min fitnati ‘l-qabri wa `adhābin-nār,wa anta ahlu ‘l-wafā'i wa ‘l-ḥaqq. Faghfir lahum warḥamhum innaka anta ‘l-Ghafūrur-Raḥīm.

🔷رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَٰنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ وَلا تَجْعَلْ فِى قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Translation :

Our Lord, forgive us and our brethren who were our forerunners in the faith, and do not put any rancour in our hearts toward the faithful. Our Lord, You are indeed most kind and merciful. (59:10)

Transliteration :

Rabbi eghfer lana wali ekhwanina allazin sabakuna bel iman wala taj'al fi kulubina ghillan lillazin amanu rabbana innak ra oufon rahim.

🔷اللهُـمِّ عَبْـادك، احْتـاجَوا إِلى رَحْمَـتِك، وَأَنْتَ غَنِـيٌّ عَنْ عَذابِـهم، إِنْ كانَوا مُحْـسِنون فَزِدْ في حَسَـناتِهم، وَإِنْ كانَوا مُسـيئين فَتَـجاوَزْ عَنْـهم

Translation :

O Allah, Your slaves are in need of Your mercy, and You are not in need of their torment. If they were pious then increase their rewards and if they were transgressors then pardon them.

Transliteration :

Allaahumma ‘aibaduk ihtaaju ‘ilaa rahmatika, wa ‘Anta ghaniyyun ‘an ‘athaabihim, ‘in kaanu muhsinin fazid fee hasanaatihim, wa ‘in kaanu musee’in fatajaawaz ‘anhum.

🔷اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّهُم عَبْادك كَانَوا يَشْهَدُون أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ وَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِم اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَوا مُحْسِنًين فَزِدْ فِي إِحْسَانِهِم وَإِنْ كَانَوا مُسِيئين فَتَجَاوَزْ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِم اللَّهُمَّ لاَ تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُم وَلاَ تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُم ‏.‏

Translation :

O Allah, they are Your slaves , they used to testify that there is no god but You and that Muhammad is Your slave and Your Messenger, and You know that best. O Allah, if they acted well, then increase for them their good action, and if they acted wrongly, then overlook their wrong actions. O Allah, do not deprive us of their reward, and do not try us after them.

Transliteration :

Allahumma inna hum ibaduka . Kanu yash-hadun an la ilaha illa ant wa anna Muhammadan abduka wa rasooluka, wa anta alamu bihi. Allahumma in kanu muhsinina zid fi ihsanihim, wa in kanu musiyana fa tajawaz an sayatihim. Allahumma la tahrimna ajrahum wa lataftina ba'dahum.

🔷اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ.
