Dua After Quran Recitation

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي قَدْ قَرَأْتُ مَا قَضَيْتَ مِنْ كِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَهُ عَلَى نَبِيِّكَ الصَّادِقِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ رَبَّنَا.

Transliteration :

Allahumma inni qad qara’tu ma qadayta min kitabika alladhy anzaltahu `ala nabiyyIka alssadiqi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi falaka alhamdu rabbana

Translation :

O Allah I have recited that which Thou commands from Thy Book Thou revealed to Thy truthful Prophet, blessings of Allah be on him and on his children. (All) praise be to our Lord.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِمَّنْ يُحِلُّ حَلاَلَهُ وَ يُحَرِّمُ حَرَامَهُ و يُؤْمِنُ بِمُحْكَمِهِ وَ مُتَشَابِهِه وَاجْعَلْهُ لِي أُنْساً فِي قَبْرِي وَأُنْساً فِي حَشْري ، وَاجْعَلْنِي مِمَّنْ تُرْقِيهِ (تُرَقِّيهِ) بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ قَرَأَهَا دَرَجَةً فِي أَعْلَى عِلِّيِّينَ آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Translation :

O Allah let me be one of those who take to the lawful and keep from the unlawful, accept and show submission to its clear as well as similar commands, let (this recitation) be my companion in my grave and at the time of Resurrection,and let me be one of those whom Thou shall raise and exalt, on account of this recitation, on the highest pedestal in the Paradise. Be it so O the Lord of the worlds.

Transliteration :

allahumma aj`alny mimmn yuhillu halalahu wa yuharrimu haramahu wa yu´minu bimuhkamihi wa mutashabihihi waj`alhu li ’unsan fi qabri wa ’unsan fi hashri , waj`alny mimman turaqqihi bikulli aiyatin qara-aha darajatan fi a`la `illiyyina amina rabba al`alamina.

اللّهُمّ اشْرَحْ بِالقُرْآنِ صَدْرِي وَاسْتَعْمِلْ بِالقُرْآنِ بَدَنِي وَنَوّرْ بِالقُرْآنِ بَصَرِي وَأَطْلِقْ بِالقُرْآنِ لِسَانِي وَأَعِنّي عَلَيْهِ مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي فَإِنّهُ لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوّةَ إِلاَّ بِكَ.

Transliteration :

allahumma ashrah bilqur’ani sadri wasta`mil bilqur’ani badani
wa nawwir bilqur’ani basari
wa atliq bilqur’ani lisani
wa a`inni `alayhi ma abqaytany
fa’innahu la hawla wa la quwwata illa bika.

Translation :

O Allah: (please) expand my breast through the Qur’an , And use my body for the Qur’an , And enlighten my sight by the Qur’an , And make my tongue eloquent by the Qur’an, And help me carry out its duty as long as You keep me alive, For there is neither power nor might save with You.

اللهم آنس وَحَشَتِي فِي قَبْرِي اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي بِالْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِيمِ واجعله لِي اِمَامًا وَ نُورًا وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً . اللَّهُمَّ ذَكَرَنِي مِنْهُ مَا نَسِيتُ وَعَلَّمْنِى مِنْهُ مَا جَهِلْتُ وَارْزُقْنِي تِلَاوَتَهُ أَنَاء الليلِ وَانَاء النّهَارِ وَاجْعَلْهُ لِى حُجَّةً يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ.

Transliteration :

Allahumma aa-nis wah-sha-ti fi- qabri. Allahummar hamni bil-qur'an-nil azeem waj-'al-hu li i-ma-maw-wa nu-raw-wa hu-daw- wa rahmah. Allahumma dhak-kir-ni min-hu ma na-si-tu wa 'al-lim-ni min-hu ma ja-hil-tu, war zuq-ni ti-la-wa-ta-huuu aa-naaa-al-lai-li wa-aa- naa an-na-haa-ri, waj'al-hu li huj-ja-tay-ya rabbal-'alameen.

Translation :

O Allah, divert my restlessness in the grave into peace.
O Allah! let me receive Your mercy by means of the Noble Qur'an and make it my guide as well as a source of light, guidance and grace for me. O Allah! revive my memory of whatever I was made to forget from the Noble Qur'an, grant me understanding of whatever part I know not, enable me to recite it during hours of day and night and make it my main argumentative support (in all matters), O Lord of the worlds.
